Local Authority Overview
- Majlis Daerah Labis (MDL) telah ditubuhkan pada 1 September 1979 di bawah seksyen 3 Akta Kerajaan Tempatan 1976 – Akta 171. Penubuhan ini telah diwartakan pada 9 Oktober 1980 melalui JPU 26 Jilid 24 No. 21. Luas kawasan sebagaimana ditunjukkan melalui Pelan Warta (PW) 1265 seluas 47.26 batu persegi iaitu 122.4 km persegi atau 12,240 hektar. Majlis Pelancaran penubuhan MDL ini telah dilakukan oleh wakil YAB Menteri Besar Johor pada 29 Disember 1976 bertempat di Dewan Jubli Intan Segamat.
