JKM Overview
Jabatan Warisan Negara established on 1 March 2006, and is responsible to conserve, preserve, protect and promote the richness of the heritage of Malaysia. The Department has the role as set out in the National Heritage Act 2005 (Act 645).Then on the basis of the said Act, the Department undertakes research,archaeology, conservation of buildings and monuments, enforcement, intangible heritage and natural heritage.
